The Vox company opened in
England 1957. The first amplifier built by the new company was the AC15. The demand for more powerful amps influenced Vox to build a double-powered AC15; they named it the AC30 and if we named every famous guitarist who used it there would not be room on this site. We will, however, mention a few: the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, Who, Brian May, Monkees, Rory Gallagher and the Edge. The older Vox guitar amplifiers are collectable.
