Guitar amplifiers and Hartley Peavey go back to 1957 when he built his first one and it was the beginning of good things to come. The Peavey company has grown by leaps and bounds since its conception. Peavey presently has 33 facilities across
North America ,
Europe , and the
Far East which attests to the popularity and quality of Peavey amplifiers. Home base is in
Mississippi .
Eddie Van Halen was collaborated and promoted Peavey products for a time. This explains the “5150” name on Peavey’s amplifier series. For those of you who don't know, one of Van Halen’s popular albums was “5150.” The “5150” is considered by some critics to be the best amp available for playing the heavier, 80’s type rock. Van Halen and Peavey eventually parted. The “5150” title belonged to Van Halen and he took the rights to it, so Peavey made a few changes in the “5150” and lo and behold, the “6505” took center stage. Peavey guitar amplifiers are reliable and versatile.
