Kramer Electric Guitars
The Kramer guitar company presently offers budget as well as intermediate grade guitars. They also offer imported acoustic, acoustic/electric, semi-hollow and solidbody guitars as well as basses, amps and effects. Production began in 1976 and featured aluminum necks with wooden inserts on the backs to give them a wooden feel. An investment group took over the company and tried very hard to get access to the Russian market. Things did not work out and in 1997 the Kramer brand was sold to Gibson. Most of the recent Kramer electric guitars are ESP’s with the components having been made in
Japan but the guitars have been assembled in the
U.S.A.
