Buying a nice guitar is always exciting and owning a Gibson Les Paul will also add lasting enjoyment to your playing. Understanding the various Les Paul models can be somewhat confusing. The "Gibson Les Paul Custom" is the most expensive member of the family; the "Gibson Les Paul Standard" is the regular instrument, the Les Paul "Special" is about the same with less features while the "Junior" is found in the budget range. All of the Gibson Les Paul models are fine guitars and are a joy to play.
