Gibson Bass Guitars
The Gibson guitar company has been open since the 1880’s but made their first electric bass guitar in 1953. It was called the EB-1 and depending on condition may bring as much as $5,000 today. Custom colors were offered in the 1960’s which greatly increases their collectability. Some of Gibson’s basses feature the SG body style. Circa 1970 Gibson offered a bass with a violin-shaped mahogany body. More recently Gibson has offered a bass with a Flying V body and several Les Paul bass guitars. Gibson bass guitars are quality instruments and you'll find a huge selection on this page.
