Fender Acoustic Electric Guitars
Fender used its tried and true concepts that were so successful with their solid body guitars and applied them to acoustic/electric guitars. The wildwood finish used on some Fender Coronado models was developed by injecting dye into growing trees. Fender’s D’Aquisto line consists of archtops each with a single-cut-glued neck. In 1994 a version was produced that sold for $6000. As can be surmised by the large number of listings, Fender produced a very lengthy and varied number of acoustic/electric guitars and continues that prolific tradition today.
