Electric Guitar Hard Shell Case
Thinking about a hard shell case for your electric guitar? I remember well an outside gig I had. It was downtown, in front of the Court House. I was part of a pickup group but I had played previous gigs with most of them so I anticipated an easy and enjoyable afternoon. The weather was beautiful. As the time approached, I began to carry my equipment out to my car which was in my driveway. I had my guitar in one hand and a leather carrying case in the other but forgot my keys so I sat both cases down behind my car and went in to retrieve my keys. Just then I got a telephone call which was unimportant but took up more time than I had. I hung up the phone, rushed out, jumped in the car and started to back out. I heard a terrible sound coming from underneath my car and that’s when I realized that I had just run over my 56 gold-top Les Paul; yes it was a Gibson! With a sick feeling I opened my car door and there was my guitar right in the place where I normally step out. I quickly opened the case and believe it or not—there wasn’t a scratch or mark on the guitar or the case. There was no evidence at all of what had just happened. Kudos to Sears because I had just purchased one of those “universal” hard shell electric guitar cases from them!
