Country Guitar Lessons
Country guitar music has long been popular where I grew up in the hills of western Pennsylvania. Men and women of all ages are taking country guitar lessons. It is probably been the dominant style of music played in the local venues. Down through the years I have played in a large number of classic country bands. “Classic” country simply refers to the old country songs. Most of them have only three chords and are actually very easy to play. These songs were what country music was and many folks love them. Some of country’s best known performers were singers such as Hank Williams Sr., Ernest Tubbs and Ray Price. Very few of the stars picked their own lead. Lead guitar pickers were relegated to the background; they were sidemen. But over the past few decades country music changed. It has morphed into something that has a strong rock influence and guitar players are not only featured but have been on the vanguard of this change. Brent Mason, Ray Flack, Brad Paisley and Vince Gill are just a few of the pickers responsible for the evolution of country music and lead guitar styles. How can you help but embrace the hot country riffs created by these guitarists—especially if you are a guitarist? Below are many styles of country guitar lessons to choose from that you can practice at your own pace in the comfort of your home.
